Flash Question

Is there any issues with using a Nikon flash on a Canon body? Is there anything wrong with this?

I'm not sure if they will fire or not, but I know that the automated functions of the flash will not work.

Well I'm trying hard to save for a good flash unit and a light meater. It's surprising how expensive they both can be.

does anyone have any suggestions to cheap alternatives. I don't really need professional quality, just something to get me in the door with each of them. Cheap ebay 'digital' brand stuff? Old 35mm flashes? i'm really clueless. Oh, and is there ANY good light meater for less than $100 bucks? I take it no, but it can't hurt to ask.

You could look into an 'auto' flash like THIS ONE. Although, I'd still recommend saving up for the 430EX.

Are you looking for a simple light meter or do you want flash metering as well.
