Focusing experiment. Interpretations?

LOL. Sitting here with a glass of red wine that is just about empty. haha. I think I'd rather take on my wilful 2 yr old than battle on here. LOL! What si with the "next to" laundary basket thing? I think it's an epidemic. My husband does it sometimes too. For me, it's the "why put the bag of chips on top of the counter rather than opening up the door and placing it in." Is it really that much more work?

You start to realize that no matter what, in the eyes of your teen or "tpf reader, " you will always be interpreted wrong or as a jerk and clearly not worthy of any sort of humane status.

Now this is where we get into territory I'm comfortable with; psychology. "C'mon over to my forum." wink, wink. Only love going on "here."

Oh, that should be my new signature... that was priceless. You get today's gold star award!

lollololol. Yeay! I finally did something right! I can take the last sip of my wine now and sleep easily. xoxo, MLEEK!

Lol. I have to laugh because there is such a thing as road rage and apparently TPF rage exists as well. I really HOPE and DOUBT that you would speak like this to people in the REAL world? It's called righteousness. Listen, if you find my posts annoying then why are you reading and spending time responding to them? It takes alot less energy to just keep scrolling right?

I think you are analyzing my posts a little too much. lol. I am not trying to get attention from some RANDOM PHOTOGRAPHY FORUM. I'm on here 2-3 times a week studying up on a hobby. I'm not going to even entertain some childish and ridiculous remark like this. You are clearly being inflammatory for ATTENTION PURPOSES. I just want to understand more. Sometimes it requires more than one post. But, according to you, learning to "focus right" gives me some sort of secondary gain. Kind of funny.

I appreciate your "honesty" but don't really see the point to it. Just don't respond! If my 2-3 posts , 2-3 times a week is so "out of the norm" whether it's about the same thing or not, I am surprised, but don't really care. I want to learn. I don't understand everything and sometimes I need to revisit things. Don't we all? Anyway, I am an adult and I am disappointed in myself that I have already entertained some internet confrontation to the extent that I have already.

I want to study photography. I have a career already. I'm exploring something else. Sometimes I need clarification, and more clarification. Photography is as new as it gets to me; a foreign language that I'm intrigued by. If it makes me a bad person to be persistant, I can live with that.

PS: There are so many VERY HELPFUL and FABULOUS people on this site. But damn, there are alot of hostils and snobs! I could throw my professional and life acheivements out there in a derogatory manner in an attempt to try to make you feel like some sort of inept, but I choose to be decent. For the record I am a published Children's book author and have my doctorate in psychology. I have taught and volunteered throughout many schools and never ONCE have I been that "shi**y" to ANYONE who simply desired knowledge. I don't NEED photography but I enjoy it and would love to possibly "retire" with it.

Again, please don't waste your time with "annoying/attention seekers" like me.

If you will, " Would you mind counting the "I's" in your post?
So it's all about you huh? All about what you want. All about your fabulous education and career. huh?
There are NOT a lot of hostile snobs on this forum. There are , however, a lot of truth sayers. And you guessed it. Just like you, they are thinking of you and your best interests.
Otherwise they wouldn't bother giving you advice , for free. Many here , including myself would love to see you progress nicely in photography. But that isn't the point, " is it?
The point is, something was said here, that MANY thought about saying, and certainly WERE thinking, but were kind enough to entertain the thought that it would come to you on your own. But that didn't happen. Did it?
And from the looks of things , it's not going to.

Looking forward to your next batch of forum posts , about you.
I'm not impressed by your credentials, nor your accomplishments, nor your education. There are people on this forum who exceed you in many ways and to assume otherwise may be a mistake.
What would impress me is your " sense" of common sense.
Until then, I'll leave you with this as I take your advice.

There are many VERY HELPFUL and FABULOUS people on this site. But you my dear, are simply brilliant.

Now this is where we get into territory I'm comfortable with; psychology. "C'mon over to my forum." wink, wink. Only love going on "here."
Hmmm.
lol

As it is, the subject of this thread, its pictures, and KmH's responses make great additions to the beginner's forum and gallery...could do without the unmerited negativity.

Holy Crap, what a mess this turned out to be....oooohhhh.

Yes Georgiagirl. It has become such a mess :( oh for the love of photography. Lol.

Amoment overall a good experiment and I'm glad you got something out of it. I think the reason the other person got annoyed is if everyone of us posted our experiment photos tpf would get lost in experiments. We all do experiments to better ourselves but don't necessarily post them.

I too am trying to hon in on the skill of dof especially with my 50mm lens. I even downloaded an app for my iPhone! In my most recent cc I had someone mention my dof and when I first looked at it I knew I should have stepped back a bit. Dof is a project for me this winter so I can really grasp it. Along with indoor lighting and setup!

You live and you learn and learn to ignore :)

P.S. About picking up after one's self. I struggle with that with my boyfriend everyday frickin day! Momma always picked up and did everything for her boys thinking it was best! Well F! That. After 5 yrs were about done bc of it. Can't be his gf futhur wife and play the roll as his f****** mom and maid! (thank you had to get that one off me chest lol)

i have learned that you just need to ignore some people. anyone who comes into a post and just complains about your post and having to read it is someone you just ignore. i find it quite simple to ignore posts i dont want to read, i just skip over them. i dont feel the absolute need of entering a post of someone i dislike to point out i dislike there post.

that was 7 i's all about me baby.

Mine was the same way... Then I went away for a month. That helped a LOT. THEN when his crap was laying around? I threw it away. Fixed his fancy. He now picks his stuff up ASAP for fear I'll come along and it'll be long gone. Of course, this is 20 years later... It didn't happen over night.

Lightspeed obviously has some issues, since he finds it too hard to ignore your posts it would in my opinion be wise for you to ignore his. On the internet I think they call it feeding the trolls... Some people get a rise out of giving people a hard time or putting them down, on the internet there's no possibility that they will end up in physical harm so it's where they find it safe to go. I think your focus is just fine, you're learning and you should never feel like you can't post something in a forum or ask the same question more than once...

Sorry you feel that way. I stated the obvious.
