Pretty durn good, I'd say. But...75mm??? What'd you do, use a stun gun first?

Some people are pretty rigid on the "don't include manmade objects" idea. And while *ideally* I agree with that, I'd never just forego a shot because the bird is on something man made.

I agree. A good shot of a heron on a railing is better than no shot of a heron at all.

Hahaha. Thanks everybody! This particular heron was hanging with the tourists on the Oceanside pier. There are a couple of huge pelicans that hang out too. Haven't seen them in a while but will try to get a shot next time they're there. They like to bite the tourists that get too close to take pictures. Makes us laugh every time!
