Sorry I haven't been around much. A lot of screwed up stuff has been happening in my life and I have been attempting to get back on track. Anyways, please enjoy this photo.

Any thoughts on this photo? I can handle criticism but know this, my self-styled pictorialism sometimes incorporates high ISO and so the noise in this photo is intentional.

I get a chuckle out of the pic. I really wish that there wasn't a house in the background, the house makes it feel a little more suburban than the setting. I like the UFO.

If Omikron-Percii I8 had a 5 Guys Burger and Fries, I would leave this rock.

The "house" in the background is actually a Commons Building for a defunct camp for Girl Scouts but I know what you mean about the suburban feel as opposed to a woodsy lake scene.

I've never been to a 5 Guys but I've heard they're good. I wonder if Fry, Bender and the crew would enjoy it?

Good lord, I thought those were sheds to the left, I can see that being a commons area now. . . they must have sold a LOT OF COOKIES!

The crew would enjoy, very limited locations serve booze, so Bender would be more inclined to ask one to "Bite his shiny metal a**"

Nice composite, or is it? Maybe we really have been invaded by aliens . No wonder the Girl Guides abandoned the camp.

I do like the shot, even with the "ship", but it looks a little oversharpened.

I have the same feeling about the over-sharpened look. I'm trying to nail down why I feel that way as I know what I did to the photo and none of what I did included any sharpening techniques with the original photo. It may be the lens I'm using.

The reason behind this photo was to see how well I could fake a UFO photo. I've seen plenty on the internet that severely look fake and they somehow manage to make it on to the news circuit. I figured I could do a composite that would end up looking just as good as anything else out there, if not better than most. Not that I intend for it to make it on to the news as somehow a real UFO. I just felt I needed to satisfy my own curiosity.

The larger version ( http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8477/8197078511_55ae6c6ad3_k.jpg ) should be easier to view and to see if you can spot any obvious signs of cut-and-paste. If you can find any, let me know what they are so I can keep them in mind for future edits.

I attempted to make sure that all digital noise was consistent throughout the frame. I added a rippling effect to the reflection using a displacement map I made for it and attempted to line it up with the already present rippling. I added a shadow in the woods to the right because I figured the craft would cast a shadow somewhere if present (not that I think the shadow is believable, but its the attention to detail a lot of those other UFO photos lack).
