Good to know - if this falls prey to it again I will happily rip it out and replace it. I love bee balm but not a fan of chasing powdery mildew. The bees get annoyed with Neem oil spray.

Morning in the garden is my favorite part of the day.

Torch lilies at the family ruin.
Wildfires in N. Ontario are killing air quality today. Skies are nearly orange this a.m.

Orange skies all the way down here in Boston as well. It’s very apocalyptic looking. Smoke scent is there but not too strong yet. It’s breezy. Not sure if that will make it worse or better. Stay safe up there!

That sucks!!

So sorry for you all who are getting this. We've been threatened/warned about it in SE Michigan, but it's just plain old simmering hot atm. Real feel temps 111°F a little while ago.

Temps will start to drop tomorrow, and rain is forecast for the weekend.

I planted the sunflowers last week, after the last mini heatwave. They're twice this size now, and covered with Liquid Fence spray to dissuade any roaming deer and hungry bunnies.
