I went out to Cleland Rock yesterday morning and took this shot. I had the 430 camera left but not a great deal of room to work... This rock sits kinda high and isn't very wide. I left the image larger than normal to show a slight halo around me. any ideas why this is here?

Light from the sun hitting your back/tops of your shoulders/head? That's the only reasoning I can think of for the halo-ing (that IMO isn't very noticeable).

Also, I approve of this thread title.

I get high everyday... I live in the mile high! :)

The sun was at my face... I had a hill blocking it though. I was in shadow.

Did you do any PP that involved masking? It can leave a halo with soft brushes.

No masking... All I did was a little noise reduction and sharpening.

Is that corn littering the rock?

Ya, I couldn't figure it out... You have to drive through a corn field the get here, but why all the corn on the rock? Strange :er:

The halo indicates a higher than normal level of closeness to sainthood. Right?

My best guess would be morning fog which is more pronounced around your body due to camera flash. You might haven't noticed the fog near you but your camera did!

To me it looks like there is some fog down in the hollow. I think it may just be some fog or smoke or something.
