Glamour Shot

Had a flash tube blow on a session just before this. Without much time to swap a new one, I asked her if I could start shooting with a single light since we were shooting low-key anyhow. Still managed to capture the shots she wanted.

the light vignetting is throwing me off, and I think the stray hairs need to be cloned out, but good skin. Overall, nice shot. I'd probably build some non-destructive contrast with some adjustment dodge/burn, but that's just me

Yes she did. She requested that look and it was done for her. That's the business we're in.

If she wanted that look...then to each their own I guess...but personally I think her skin looks like mustard.

Not my cup of tea, but a well crafted photo. Perhaps rotate clockwise just a bit.

Interesting that the skin looks yellow to a few of you and I'm sure there will be plenty more. Her skin isn't yellow on my screen at all, on two different screens. It isn't on the print either that was printed without colour correction. Thanks for your feedback though.

I actually like the overall color cast (and the image in general), gives it kind of a vintage look. Not too happy with the fold/muscle under her right arm though...may be you can smooth that out?

I actually really like the post on this. The color doesn't bother me at all. I love the expression, but my one criticism would be the placement of the hands. I feel it would be stronger if you could see her fingers in her hair just a little. When both hands go behind the head she can start to look like an amputee. Overall I dig it though!

I agree with same. I like the processing, but I agree that it would be stronger if her hands were on the sides of her head combing into her hair rather than behind her head. :sillysmi:
