Golden Wood

I've never received any type of feedback from non-photographers before (I feel like me and my Nikon are on our own little lonely planet), so I thought I'd post my latest capture and see what somebody thinks who has a sharp eye. My general feeling is that it is a bit too dark (on black in Lightroom in looks fine, but then upon viewing in Flickr it looked darker than I would have liked).

I took this just when the sun was setting, and the wood started to glow a pretty golden color. Unfortunately, the photo hardly captured any of that golden glow, so I tried my hand at recreating what I actually saw in Lightroom.
