Good Neck Strap?

Looking to buy a better neck strap than the standard 7D one. Whats a good one?

I've tried products from Carry Speed and Custom SLR and I'd highly recommend those. Currently I'm using a strap from Custom SLR.

I like neoprene. Doesn't cut into the neck. Honestly I prefer not to use a neck strap. A hand/wrist strap is my preferred strap.
The black rapid double strap is awesome when you are using two bodies AND because it isn't a neck strap.

Nothing beats BlackRapid! I use the RS Sport 2 for the extra little stability it gives over the RS-7.

+1 on the black rapid, first time I used one was taking 3 kids to the Denver zoo, and I don't believe I would have had my camera out of the bag at all much if it wasn't for that strap

Yeah, I always thought "LOL, people pay that much for a STRAP? LOL at the sheeple." Then I used one. If you spend a lot of time with a heavy camera with heavy glass on the end, it's definitely worth it.

Some days I have a 7D with a 70-200 f/2.8 L, a 7D with a 28-135 and 580 EXII and a 5DII with a 17-40 f/4 L on my person for 14-18 hours straight. With a traditional strap, I'd be crawling into bed in a barely able to move state. With the Black Rapid(s), well, I can still feel it on my back at the end of the day, but it's doable.

Another vote for the BlackRapid straps. They recently sent me a free double strap, DR-1 (a $129 retail price) when I referred them to a site trying to infringe on their designs.

If you really are set on a neck strap, the neoprene ones made by Optech work really well. I have several that CPS sent me as part of the membership gifts. They are really comfortable for a "neck" strap. This version of the Optech is nice since it's a bit wider and distributes the load on your neck better. OP/TECH USA Reporter Strap

I vote against the RS-7 and for one reason: I have to keep tension on the strap to keep the strap from sliding around. For that reason I never use it. Probably end up giving it away as a present or something. I'm back to using my Optech over the shoulder sling. Connectors aren't as robust but at least I don't have to keep tension on it to keep it from sliding around during use.

I don't care how nice a strap is... if it isn't neoprene, I'm not buying it. It's amazing how much lighter a neoprene strap can make a camera feel. As as Derrel said, OpTech makes nice neoprene straps, for a very reasonable price. They are nothing fancy, but they get the job done and save your neck.

Be VERY careful buying cheap straps. I have heard more horror stories about the cheap clasps on them letting go and cameras hitting the ground. I know wal mart has some in their stores right now and they are TERRIBLE. I bought one. I could pull the tapes of the strap right through the clasp thingies like water!!!
