There are a lot of physical elements in this shot.

1. the vertical poles
2. boat
3. backround
4. railing
5. wall
6. platform
7. lines in different direction, including the cement platform and wall
8. water

I think you could try to focus on just a few if not less of the elements. The eye does not know where to focus.

The photo is also a little crooked.

I like how you treated it as a b&w. Keep up the good work and posting for us.
