Green spot in the middle of the city

Hi, I've captured a kind of perspective of this bench and small green pool in the kind of green spot surrounded by high buildings.

Both seem dark to me. They also both have a really small dof. I feel that if you stepped down a stop or 2 on the bench it would make your subject stand out more.

On the pond, I can't find the focus point. It is so far away that the foreground is to distracting. Even the flowers and ivy are out of focus.
