Good morning photo junkies!
I have been searching for a decent forum where there is actual stimulating discourse on photography and techniques where the discussions do not break down into a debate on gear and general name calling.
This is not as easy as it sounds.
Anyway, I have been at it for just over a year now and I have already run headlong into the limitations of my current setup (Canon Rebel XSi with low-end lenses) and I plan to move to the Canon 5D MK II and make some money with it.
A little background on me:
I am a graphic artist currently working in pharmaceutical advertising soon to be an Art Director. I have extensive experience in photo retouching, design, branding and identity, and I am an expert in the entire Adobe CS Design family of software. I have been wanting to get into photography for years but the expense was too great when it came to film processing but the digital revolution called to my credit card and landed me my first DSLR and I am hooked on it like a starving poodle on a pork chop.
I look forward to picking you brains and seeing all of your work.
