hands tied

aah, i've been shooting all morning and afternoon... and that wasn't easy with my hands constantly tied... my wrists still hurt a bit, actually. I've got about 20 pics I like, i've been playing with'em a lot... but here's the best one I got, IMO. I'm very new to portraits, so all crtitic and advice appreciated...

Edit: An oldened sepia version... dunno if it works here...?

Yeah, that would be hard to shoot I think the first one looks the best however it could use more contrast

Hi alexandra...I think the first is great but you need to adjust your levels; too dark. I pulled the image into my PS and the white point was way off. It brightens up considerably.
At the very least you need to do image>>>adjust>>>>auto levels.
After I did that it looked awesome. boosted the contrast a little and bingo....killer shot

If you don't have photoshop you can also use the gimp
