Happy Mistake

This was the result of a settings mistake while out shooting with my kids. Chimping, I thought it was just a blown shot that I would delete later. But when I looked closer, I kind of liked it. It took very little work to get it where it is.

Nice mistake.I never delete in camera because I don't trust the cameras display.Well done, it is pretty cool.

Interesting. I've played with overexposures at times. Have you tried pushing it further?

Thanks all. The mistake was hitting the mode selector and sliding over to manual rather than aperture priority. It was just intended to be a basic straight-on shot of some purple cone but the over exposure washed out the petals and ground below.

I haven't pushed it any further than this, but just might. There's not enough in the original to be a traditional floral shot, so abstract is the only way to go.
