It's a good excuse to travel.

But at the "cost" of other peoples' wedding photos?

Most of the Wanna-Be "PRO's" seem to think the CRAP they deliver is good enough.. after all, it came from their "expensive" "professional" entry level camera, didn't it? This person is just another scammer... that has no clue what good photography is. But that doesn't mean she won't be successful! After all, she is playing that "AMERICAN" angle.. and waving the flag! And there are a lot of people out on Facebook that don't know what a decent photo is, that will be willing to pay for her swill!

I agree.. it is unethical. But she doesn't realize that (or doesn't care).. and many of her "victims" won't know it either...

Great marketing scheme. And she can get a middle of the road local photographer (the second shooter she mentions) to do the wedding on the cheap if he's the starving desperate bestbuy kind of guy with a big watermark

The other thing that I didn't like was, because she was listening to my conversations and heard me talking about wedding photography, she asked me why I don't shoot weddings. Well actually, I do, but as an assistant to a photographer from the area who actually knows what she's doing. Then Lisa gave me her card and told me that she offers classes for people who need that extra confidence in their own photography at a more reasonable price; she said this because she also heard me talking about a different local photographer who, for a long time, was trying to find his place in the big photography world. He has really made something for himself and I think, is the best in our area (not to mention, is a personal friend of Zack Arias); SO he holds workshops that are in the couple hundred $$ price range. DUH! He ought to! I went and it was so worth it! She made it sound like he was overpriced! I think she is a fauxtographer who still doesn't understand the value of authentic photography and the work behind it.

I didn't say that it was right. I'm definitely not taking her side here. I saw the website. I was just stating a reason that this woman would be doing this when she obviously doesn't have the skill. It was meant to be funny.
