Hi, I just bought a Nikkor-Q 200mm (non-Ai) lens off of ebay with the understanding it would attach and work with my d5100. (Thanks to Nikon Lens Compatibility) However, after purchasing I found a website that claims Pre-Ai lenses can actually damage the d5100! (Nikon SLR Camera and Lens Compatibility)
Can anyone tell me definitively whether or not using the Nikkor-Q 200mm (non-Ai) lens will damage my d5100? Attached is a picture of the lens.
