I'm turning to this forum for a little help, since I am far from knowledgable about photography. I'm looking for a way to photograph or video my aquarium when my actinic deep blue lights are on. The image gets way blown out with blue when I try. Is there any sort of screen or filter I can use to help correct this? I have a typical Sony Cybershot digital camera, no SLR or anything professional. I've seen some amazing images online of other reef aquariums but I suspect those were taken with much higher-end cameras. I've messed with the ISO and white balance but can't get a decent result regardless what combination I use.
If anyone cares to see what I mean I have a video posted, jump to about 3:30.
Any tips appreciated!
