Hi

I have a canon 580 exii flash unit to use with my 450D (no pc slot however could buy an adapter.)
I want to try some radio triggers to get the flash wireless, I have found some quite cheap, but I am not sure wether it is worth spending the money on them as I am a student and dont have much money.

the ones I found were:

PT-04 CN Radio Wireless Remote Flash Trigger+3Receivers on eBay (end time 13-Jun-10 05:32:36 BST) £25

Wireless Flash Trigger for Canon 450D 500D 550D 50D 7D on eBay (end time 29-May-10 23:36:39 BST) £23

4 Channel Flash Wireless Trigger PT-04 TM PT-04TM Set on eBay (end time 05-Jun-10 11:18:57 BST) £9

DSLRKIT PT-04 Wireless Flash Trigger Sync Speed 1/250s on eBay (end time 13-Jun-10 07:43:39 BST) £12

Which one do you recommend most?

I know £9 doesn't sound much, but to buy it and for it not to work means it was a waste of £10 towards a system that does work.

It was this forum that recommended these triggers, got them and they work great. Just no TTL, but I guess you can expect that by the price.

now i am struck for choice....
the one at £20 (last one) seems quite good looking at the blog but i still dont really know.
I only really need 1 transmitter and 1 reciever as if i get more flashs later, my 580exii can act as a master flash meaning I dont need more recievers, correct?

I seen a guy on youtube (dombower)
use his fuji s5pro camera and a nikon sb900 and he shot it wireslessly with no triggers by popping his fill flash up, is this a feature of the fuji dslr or am i mistaken?

that is the video there.

No, that's not correct because your 580exii works as a master using an infrared triggering signal system, not a radio trigger signal system.

Fuji cameras are made by Nikon and both also use an infrared triggering system and not a radio triggering system.

so what purpose does the 580exii hold from being a master?

I ment it could use the 430 ex as a slave and i just set up the 580 as wireless and then set the 430 to the same channel as the 580?

just when you think you got a grasp of everything eh? :p
