I need to take some self portrait but one of my classmate told me that I self portrait just include my face. Is he right? Is the self portrait just shoot of your face ?

The self portrait assigned to our class in college didn't concern with that, it was required to be about ourselves. I was with a race bike and a superfast jet ski. I would've had a cam/few lenses in it too, but teach said photography included would be absolutely "cliche"

A self portrait should be a shot of you as a person. IMO (your instructor's may differ), you don't even need to necessarily see your face, just know that the person is you, doing something you do.

Not to beat a dead horse, but unless your teacher specifically said only head shots as your self portrait, then you are free to take a full body shot of yourself. I recommend using creativity to show your personality, just using props (although helpful) can seem cliche if you can easily substitute your body for anothers. Make it personal so your teacher can see that you put a lot of thought into it... although since it's due tomorrow, I would just make sure it doesn't look like you waiting til the last minute.
