Heron's and a new one for me (9 images)

Always heard of Reef Herons here, but never seen one until the other day. One of my usual haunts and one turned up. We only have two species of Herons here, so this one was a real bonus to get.


1: Reef Heron ....... finally I've seen one

2: A different view of the Reef Heron

3: And back to our std White Faced Heron's. Coming into land

4: Yeah go on, poke your tongue out, why not

5: On golden pond

6: Its in there somewhere, I know it is

7: Throttle down, blast off mode

8: North and south.

9: Blasting through

Sony NEX-7, either the Canon FD 500 F/4.5L or the 800 F/5.6L. Oops, one in there with a Sigma 500 F/4.5 APO.
