I don't know how I came across this forum but it looks pretty informative and like a welcoming community so I'm saying hello. I've always had a love for photography, I started off in b&w film and have tried to make the switch to a DSLR but haven't forked over money to buy my own camera yet. So if anyone has any suggestions on a model for someone at the intermediate level, gimme some suggestions.

You might want to check out Nikon, Canon, Olympus, Sony, or Pentax for your camera!

Seriously, just go to a decent photography store and play with each one. When you've narrowed it down some come back and you'll get a little more info.
