Aloha Greg,

I just moved away from O'ahu after 5 years there. Although I will likely be back. I know this isn't a critique of your photograph, but there is a photo meetup on O'ahu. I started it a little over a year ago and some great people took it over from me. Last I saw, it had grown quite a bit. If you want more info, let me know and I'll pass it along. It's always nice to get out with other photographers.

To me, this one looks extremely "random". I might have liked DOF if there'd only been one person in the shot (that friend, not your girl friend, though I am sure she is really pretty and the best and all but ...) - the bright but blurry girl makes this one looks like an accidental snapshot.
