Well, it might not be in the X-ring, but it's pretty close to the 10-ring. I think I'd like to see a layer effect added to soften it up a little; it looks just slightly, and I mean just ever-so-slightly a bit too harsh on some of the detail zones, like her lips, and her shadow-side eye and the other under-eye area, and the darker part of her hair...just craving a leeeeeetle bit more lightness in those areas. I'd like to see a little bit more stocking top down at the bottom of the frame rather than skin running all the way down to the bottom.(I have no idea if this is a crop or shot to this aspect or what--with the D800 it's hard to tell!) On her face, the look of the sin seems just a tiny bit too, well for lack of a better word, gritty. Maybe you processed this a slightly different way or want to go in that direction and I'm still used to that smoother, more glowing look I've seen in so many of your shots. But still, this is a 9-ring shot! I like that tiny bit of peek-a-boo of the window seen in the hair by her back shoulder, and I do like the use of the old pipes in the studio. At first I saw it and though, OMG, Bill brought in a birch tree log as a posing prop! I kind of like the grunge, and the pole is, well...it has connotations.

I think you nailed it. It's a bit more contrasty. I did crop a tiny bit off the bottom of the frame but I think it's less awkward (?) Either way ya, I agree, it's close but not quite a bull'seye.

I like the pose and her facial expression, but the lighting doesn't seem as flattering as in your other photos. It has kind of a Rembrandt/split thing going on, which brings out the lines under her cheeks. It just feels like there's too much interplay of shadow on the face, and it makes her seem older and tired.
