Homeless Guy

This Guy is a Glue Sniffer and lives on the streets of Auckland, we often see homeless people and its been on the rise in the past ten years i got this photo as he was walking around, i think that bag in his had is glue but im not 100% maybe you guys might know what it is?

a story, Ok there once was a guy who did not go to school and all he did all day was sniff glue.

The moral of the story is (if you don't go to school and you sniff glue you end up living on the street)

There seems to be no reason for taking his picture other than that he's homeless and looks kind of shifty. That in and of itself is not a story. He's not interacting with anyone or anything, there is no one else reacting to him, there's nothing that makes his presence in that time and place significant. For example, let's say he was on the street passing a big sign promoting some kind of great middle-class lifestyle or consumer item; then at least his placement could introduce some irony into the image. You need something other than "homeless dude."

your story = someone that took a "snapshot" of a homeless person and can't deal with the critique.

Just because someone looks homeless and they may be on drugs or to the extent of there education is a Assumption and it's the same as stereo typing to me. This is not good street photography but just a random snap of someone who appears to be facing a hard life. I see this guy all over in my town/city that wheels a shopping carriage around collecting cans and bottles and from appearance, he looks homeless and dirty. Turns out that guy has a lot of money from what i was told by many people and the money he gets from the cans goes towards donation. In fact, I have talked to him and gave him some cans and bottles and turns out he is a real nice fellow.

Which is why you asked us if it was a glue bag in his hand…..because you saw him sniff it……but didn't know it was a glue bag……just sayin'

The bag he had been sniffing out of was like a shopping bag, what i don't know is, is that thing in his hand got the glue in it im guessing it did but im not 100%
