Hey all it's been awhile, happy New Years.

Ill be taking my wife and two boys to Hong Kong end of January to meet my grandparents and looking for advice for things I should get and advice on how to get some good night shots and fireworks shots during Chinese New Years celebrations.

Here is what I've put together so far in my kit...
D600
SB 700 flash
50mm f1.8 G Prime
16-35mm f4 VR lens (my new baby)
Benro C2691T carbon tripod
8 x 8GB SD extreme pro cards
1x 32GB SD extreme pro

So anything I should try and look into getting before we leave and tips on shooting or even U1 or U2 settings to start off and play around with?

Cheers,
Nic

Yes sorry I have the w1-b works well enough to trigger the shutter etc so far.

That's it no help or advice?

charger, extra battery's?......looks like you've got everything covered, but like me,there will be something missing.Enjoy your trip, time with family, and if you did forget anything, you're probably in a country that might sell anything lacking.

For night city scape and fireworks, you don't need the flash. You will probably be shooting in manual modes, and for firework moments, you gotta review your first few shots quick and make immediate adjustments. Shoot in RAW.
