Hope faded..

Hey guys! Just looking for some opinions and feedback on this photograph.
Firstly, it was inspired by a piece of dialog said to me by a friend.. I'm not going to reveal the whole thing but the photo is titled "Hope Faded" and part of the tagline is "I guess i feel no progression when I'm stuck somewhere else"

For PP i added in the clouds and adjusted the curves. I don't like using a flash, so for my light source i used a flashlight to highlight what i wanted enhanced in the image.
Thoughts on composition and PP are more than welcome.. if you're bored have a go yourself at editing

Why don't you like using a flash? What benefits does a flashlight provide over a proper speedlight or strobe? Personally, I think 2-3 strobes could have really elevated this image. I think there's a LOT of potential in this scene, but I'm not quite sure you've captured it. I think we need to see more detail in the subject's clothing, and the orange (rust?) areas on the pyrmaids needs to be cloned out. I'm not sure what your intention was, but this really says "Record album" to me.
