How to save my pictures on Photoshop?

I received Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 as a Christmas gift and I'm overall very impressed. However, there is one minor problem; the photos that I use "Quick Fix" on in the organizer have not saved to the hard drive. The instructions booklet says that those will be automatically saved. I have exited out of the organizer and reloaded it several times. The edited pictures are still there but not saved to the computer.

What can I do?
