How to shoot parties?

if you can set a few off camera flashes around that works best. I use radios from Cowboy studio. only $20 and they fire every time. they are not ttl so you have to set the exposure.

also, I would o a lot of diagnal shots--contribute to that crazy feel. Shoot some from down low and some stand on a chair or bring a short ladder.

I agree with Josh, have the Flash Off the camera.
I have been using Nikon's CLS (Creative Lighting System)using my SB-600 as a (Slave) which is triggered by Nikon D80's Pop-Up Flash (Commander). By taking the Flash off the camera you have greater control over the direction and the quality of light on your subject (Flash in one hand, while Camera in the other) which gives your subject more shape and depth.
