one more question...

when getting a meter reading should i under expose it a little since im using 2-3 flashes? or how should i get my meter reading?

Theres to many variables to realy say yes or no.If your just starting out learning strobes and there affects !? I would start with 1 strobe in a controled environment,no stray lights ! to throw you off .Say your using 2 lights one for your main light and one for fill if your fill light is producing less light than the main light it will not over power the main light just add fill where it is dirrected ,I suggest exposing for the main light as a rule.And dont forget to take notes of what your doing ,you'll be glad you did at some point.Good luck
