how would you guys crop this?

I'm having real trouble coming up with the perfect crop composition for this.

I want to fill the frame with the squirrel, but catch his relaxed attitude as well.

This is funny, I took a picture of a squirrel today as well. Are they just being lazy everywhere today? Well it was like 95f here...ugh

Gotta be the heat, the day I took mine was in the 90's. I cant wait to do the same on vacation next month. Lay around naked outside!

I would crop it like nerwin's.

yeah. I like nerwin's too. I think ultimately I needed to get a better angle on the squirrel. more of that direct angle like in adamjay's. just something off with the innate composition of the shot that cant be totally fixed through cropping. And man... squirrels really know how to relax. lol.

dao's crop is pretty good too. maybe a bit off the top? and add a bit to the left so the tail doesn't feel pressed against the left side. but not too much. want the right side to have more room since i guess technically the tree-rat is facing right.

hey nerwin, i looked at your flickr page. that first pic of your cat on page one, the bite of cereal, and the 'what should i shoot with today' were easily my favorites. All really good though. color me impressed.
