I need c&c from everyone asap

My friend agreed to let me take some new pics of her we picked a bad time cause the lighting sucked. But here are the pics please let me know what you think and what i need to work on as im going again today to do more on another friend.

Looks like you shot at noon. Shoot near sunset or after sunrise to get crisper, softer light.

Your biggest problem is that you're cutting off the limbs, and at the joints no less. #2, the frame ends right through her leg. #4, the toes are cut out. #3 and #5 the hands are cut in half. In #6 there isn't enough room above her head.

You really have to take more thought about the background.
The subject (woman) does not seem to fit with the environment.

Direct sunlight is difficult to work with ... I would avoid it when shooting portraits as it is very contrasty.

I'm not everyone...but I'll put in an opinion.

Nice that you have someone that will work with you, helps to learn, I like the poses but as has been mentioned, the harsh light is unfortunate, and cutting of the limbs, and the backgrounds.

try shooting in better lighting conditions. the light is to bright and is washing out details and creating hot spots. if you cant help th light try different positioning or composure.

Greenville is at 34º 54' N 82º 13' W. Sunset today (July 1) is at 8:41:52 PM, and tomorrow (July 2) it is 8:41:40 PM. You should wait until around 7:50 PM or 8:00 PM for better light.

I'll take a crack at it....

#1 - Poor composition. She should have some room to the right and is too high in the frame.

#2 - Your best exposure. Notice how she is not in the baking sun?

#3 - Cut off limbs, diastracting background and (most importantly) a very unflattering angle which is causing the "I could put a slab of beer in those saddlebags" look.

#4 - No detail left in her. Cut off foot. Interesting shadow, but I don't think that is what you had in mind.

#5 - She is impaled by a pole.

#6 - No real thought to composition. Way too high in the frame, horizon is slicing through her head, no points of interest.

I'm guessing you have found some limitations of your camera. But that doesn't mean you can't improve.

Seriously, if you really want Critique and Comments, please only post 1-3 images, size them to 800 pixels on the long edge and most importantly, self censor. Have a serious, critical look at the images yourself first. Ask yourself what can be done to improve upon before uploading. I don't mean to be cruel, but these look as if no thought was given. Snap, snap, snap..... whaddaya guys think? Have a look at other photographers website that you find interesting, look through magazines at the images that attract you, read books on exposure and composition. There's a lot to learn to rise above snapshot photos. Be receptive. It is possible.

Those are the sizes that were used when i uploaded them on photo bucket...

Is that the size you uploaded them at? I've never seen photobucket force a resize like that.

...I agree, they are to small for us to give you any usable critique...

Awesome thank you all for the comments i went out today and had another female subject that sounds better than victim lol. I took ya'lls advice and waited a little later. Should i post the pics in this same thread or post em in a diffrent thread ?

Exactly and the cut off limbs are a major mistake.
