Or half a 24 1.4L II...

That's all that's on my wish list. I think anything that comes in under $800 I've already taken care of for the time being.

Yeah, but Sigma's HSM focusing motor's performance is spotty at best. If it was better, I'd buy it in a heart beat.

I have a Sigma 50 1.4... and it is dead on.... no "spotty" to it....

Get one ALREADY! You won't regret it, the bokeh is just well 'beautiful'!

Analog Universe has my mouth frothing though at the idea of 24mm 1.4, Oh the joy that lens could bring me! Sadly well over £1,000 in the UK! It would make a cracking 35mm on a DX camera.

Cgipson couldn't be more right, I have a Sigma 50 1.4 and does it have focussing issues? NOPE! Shot at a very low light party with NIL focussing issues.
