About seven years ago, I relocated for work. The move was so stressful and all-consuming that I completely lost interest in a couple pursuits that I had previously enjoyed, including photography. But I'm retired now and my interest in photography has been rekindled. I resurrected my dried-out Epson 3800 and am replacing my old D80 with a new D7500. I just thought I'd check back in. Glad to see the site is still going strong. While I only posted once previously, I did spend a lot of time looking at and being inspired by others' work on the site. Nice to be back!

Welcome back! If you haven't already purchased the D7500, you may want to browse through some of the discussion about that camera vs. the D7200. The consensus is the D7200 is the better camera.

Believe me, I read everything I could find on the difference between the two before making my decision. The "deficiencies" in the D7500 cited most often, lack of second card slot and no way to attach a battery grip, are really non-issues for me. In a number of areas, the D7500 seems to excel according to what I read. I went round and round for a while. But my new D7500 arrives on Monday. Thanks, though, for the heads up. That's one of the the main reasons I appreciate forums like this one, the collective experience of all the other members.
