Hi,
I am planning to print images on canvas using 12 colour Printer. I am facing problem with enhancing images for my clients. Adobe Photoshop need lot of patience and time.
Not to hide, I am an amateur in this field.
I will be a great help if you can guide me with tools which can help enhance the images quickly.
I have heard of i2e Image enhancer(not used though) but I guess the company is not selling the software anymore.
Thanks in advance
Regards,
Amy

Sharpen for the paper type. Nik has a program that will let you change those options.

If you mean what software to do pp, then there a wide variety of options. From free to purchase. Look a photoscape, it is free and will do lots of basic things. Then COrel or photo elements. but all software has a learning curve and the less you use it the harder it is to learn

Thanks for reply Ann,

I read some reviews of i2e Image Enhancer(it automatically enhances the effects) but company no more deal in that tool. Have you ever come across any such tool( Paid or free)

Welcome to the forum Amy.

What software do you have currently on your computer? What can you tell us about the files or images? What needs to be enhanced?

'Enhancing' just means to make something better....it's not anything specific.

Thank you mike :-)

I use Adobe Photoshop but it is very time consuming. The image I use are mainly jpeg, tiff images. I got to know about i2e and Perfect Suite( Genuine Fractals). The i2e editor reviews showed that they automatically enhance Memory Color, Shadow and Highlight, brightness, contrast.

Most of the Images I get need work on the above mentioned things before printing but as I have to cover many photos it becomes very time consuming. What will be your take on i2e?

Also, have you ever given a shot to Perfect suite( genuine Fractals by onOne Software's) ?

I do just about everything in Adobe Lightroom. What I can't do in LR, I do in Photoshop (CS).

When working with a lot of images in Photoshop, you can help save time by doing the same things to multiple images with the use of 'actions'.

One of the great things about Lightroom, is how easy and quick it is to work on a large number of images.

No software does magic.
The user always must make decisions.
If you have the same changes to make on many images, use tools like Lightroom or batch processing in PS.

Thanks Mike and The_Traveler,

I just found some plugins for batch processing of photos, while reading lot on the your mentioned websites :-) :

1. Perfectly Clear Photoshop plug-in
2. FixFoto
3. PhotoPerfect

trying to get more details on these as these help to process large number of Photos. Do you have any experience with any of these?

Amit

I dont use Adobe software but I do a lot of batch processing of JPG / TIF. There is a free batch processor called IRFANVIEW which has the following options:
$irfan1.webp

If these options meet your requirement it is very easy to use.

Your are printing on canvas so any "enhancing" to make an image more sharp will probably be pointless as the texture of the canvas won't make it show.

As long as your monitor and printer are color calibrated and you have an image with that is in focus then you should be fine.
