In need of some C&C on my BW conversions

The title says it all... trying a new technique and lookin for feedback.

What technique are you using?

They look alot punchier than some of your previous b+w's, which is good, but you are clipping the highlights in all of these images meaning you have less range.

It's mainly the background that is clipped, not the model... but some area are so bright (230-245 range), they look as they clip (ex both hands and right side of the face on the 1st pic) and area adjacent to the background seems to blend into it. Pic #3 is better with less very bright area and the model really distinct from the background (except for a minor area on the left wrist).

Pic #4 is my favorite (pose/expression)
