Insect hanging out on my door

Saw this little guy hanging on my door so I decided to get some shots of him. Feedback is welcome. Also, if anyone could tell me what insect this is, that would be awesome to know.

Almost looks like a mayfly...they dont have a mouth to eat and only gain wings to mate.

A lot of these pictures here would seem to indicate that. That is really interesting about the mouth. I wonder why that is?

They spend their entire lives (depending on the species, a few months to about a year) living and eating as larvae underwater building up their protein which they need in order to metamorphose into these flying insects purely for mating purposes. Their life span as flying insects is just a few hours - basically until the energy consumed as larvae runs out. In these few hours they have to find a mate and get to 3rd base before their energy runs out. Once it runs out, they drop out of the air and die. They don't need mouths because they don't have time to stuff their faces!
