Inside of a burned down house

Thanks! I really enjoy this house, we got express consent from the land/homeowner to take pictures there any time we want. The guy shooting the Mamiya in the last picture has been back several times to do shoots with models, the results were pretty epic. :)

All good shots, and the charred wall is especially interesting to me, but I can't decide if it's one abstract or two. If the latter, the images would be the top third of the frame and the bottom two thirds - not sure if they work together or not. In either case, you might want to increase contrast a little in curves and darken selectively to even out the lighting - just some thoughts.

Great shots one of those settings very few get to shoot in but can be really interesting.

I really like Charred Wall 3. That one really jumped out at me - if I took it, it would be nicely framed and hanging on my livingroom wall.

Great spot to shoot!

Cheers

Thanks for the kind comments everyone.

@Ken: I will work on that and see what I can do with it, I think I still have the RAW on a drive around here somewhere. :)

Those were really awesome! I totally agree. I love the charred wall also. The depth of field on pic 2 with the nails are also really interesting. There really is beauty in so much--even a burned down house.

Thanks, I liked #2 for the DOF as well. I liked how only the one nail was in focus and that the board dropped out of focus on both ends and directly behind the board where the in focus nail is.

Id like to see more of the rooms and house. The shots themselves are not bad, but I feel as if there really is not much behind them.

Try taking a few steps back to really capture the emotion of the scene. There was obviously a huge event here, yet I dont feel any of it was captured.

Here's a few more....

I actually have a couple more good shots from outside, and more wide-angle stuff however I'm not sure why it never made it to Flickr..... I will have to look for my backup of that shoot and add a few more. Thanks for your critique though!!

I also really like the 3rd one. I would have liked to see it a bit closer though. I think you need to either get really close and fill the frame with one detail or really wide and get the whole room in.
