Photos NOT OK to edit
Had this one kicking around for a while now, but never posted it. A fence from a downtown church, that is just amazing to see. I wish the background was not so cluttered.

Another one from my , "Im not sure what Im gonna do with" folders
I drive by this one every night. I caught this on a night, when the sun was getting ready to set. Im not sure about the crop. I had to eliminate a fence that surrounds the church. oh...not the same fence as above:D

I cant wait to get out and grab some photos soon.

You're right, the bg is cluttered. But, you did a good job of showing us the detail in the fence  and it's awesome! It looks big. How tall is it?

I think I would like the second without the cross? The compo of the flags fading out to the left...I like the emptyness on the right? Just a personal thing I guess :D

Thanks woodsac. The fence is about 8'(?) high. It surrounds the church, which has a very "gothic" feel to it. I might see if I can dig up the coloured version, and repost it. Just one of those "unsure " feelings I have with these two shots.
Thanks for your comments. I appreciate them.

woodsac has a point with the cross. I would like just the empty space, kind of adds to the evening feel.:-P

Nice juxtapose in the second....and that first is totally goth dude! Prob look cool with some vignetting. :)

No way, the cross makes the second shot! I really like it. I wouldn't change it at all.

i really like the cross idea at the second shot too....i would do something with it ,tho, cause now it looks a bit 'copy and pasted' for me, but generally i think that its good that its there...
love the first one, youre master of the rhythmes, Chiller!-:)

Thanks everyone for your comments. I appreciate all of them.
This is another coloured version of the first shot. Im leaning toward the coloured shot, and not the b&w now

This is the same fence a little further down where it meets the church.

thanks again

hey chiller, interesting shot as always...
i agree bout the first being a bit distracting, the b/w conversin is awesome toh
the second, love the light! love the exposure! either ways it would make a great picture... i like it like this too :)
i prefer the b/w version of #3
and absolutely love the vintage feel in #4, beautiful architecture :D
thanks for sharing these :D

So you were on your "vanishing point"-trip when you took these? ;)
I like them both, but must say the greater contrast between the green of the hedge and the fence makes the fence stand out more in the colour version. Therefore I think I am leaning towards that one, too (and not because the hedge is green, though you might think so ;)).

I am unsure about the white cross in that flag photo.
It is a nice juxtapose, indeed, and I accepted it as that right from the start. But after I read that others think it might be better not to have the cross in the photo, I have tried visualising that and it would be ok, too... Hmph

Glad you posted the color version. I agree that the green really helps the fence stand out  I think it actually has more character in color? Love the last shot too!

love the goth fence...but the color version does it for me... i just love it, and the black and white of the church.... great shots chiller....

just think of all the scary halloween stuff you would do with that fence...is that really a church, or your back door ???? ;)

Thanks all for your comments. I appreciate it.
LaFoto...vanishing point trip?:lmao: I think Im on a trip every day. I have thought about going back an shooting the fence now, that there are no leaves on the trees, and just snow. See how it looks. I do like the green background, cause it brings the fence out more.
The second shot, has driven me nuts. Im thinking of deep sixen that one, and see if I can get a better comp in another shoot.

April..I wish this fence surrounded my house. I have always loved it. Sure would save me some time setting up the fence I use for Halloween now:lmao:
