Is something off with this processing?

Or is it just me? I can't put my finger on it, but something seems off, almost like a color cast, but no matter what I do, I can't seem to get a good balance across the whole frame I've been working at this for so long now I think I'm going cross eyed, so I thought I would see if anyone here had any suggestions.

This was one thing I tried that maybe made a difference? I put a graduated filter over the top third of the frame and warmed up the WB on the top only, then made a tiny global WB adjustment after. Better?

Maybe pull down the saturation on the reds too just a bit?

Hmmm, here's a (-10) on the red channel saturation.. Not sure that does much. Any more and the color starts to look pale..

totally odd, top half of his face is too bright, it is a bit oversaturated and, once you see the image below, you will recognize the color cast.

and the word of the day, I think, is magenta.

Not perfection but looks a bit better I think.

I wouldn't be surprised if the intense green of the grass through off the auto-wb and thus he ended up magenta.

In ACR (LR or Camera Raw) use the White Balance tool and click on the sclera (white) of his eye camera right to correct the color cast.
Sharpen +24, add Clarity +40, crop a little off the top and right side so the composition is more closely based on the rule of thirds.

Adjusted the crop as suggested. Utilized the WB dropper (I always forget about that thing) but still had to adjust it back to 6500K from the 7000K it wanted to use. It made a significant adjustment to the tint, though. Bumped sharpness and brought the clarity to +20. I think it's much better now, but might still need a tiny bit of tweeking. Yup. I use a Spyder Pro. Though lately I've been wondering if my monitor is on its last leg. It seems like my monthly calibrations are getting more and more extensive.

Yeah, it definitely still does. It still needs some tweaking, but I think at this point I need to walk away from it for a day.. Any changes I make today will probably be made in frustration and haste... It's good to know you're still seeing it, though. Thanks.
