Dr Nicholas Rattenbury, from Jodrell Bank Observatory in Liverpool, a member of the MOA microlensing collaboration, points out: "We could take this research forward by building a network of bigger telescopes around the world to make us more efficient at detecting these Earth-like planets."

How long has Jodrell Bank Observatory been in Liverpool!:x Last I checked it was in Cheshire, 3 miles from me!

Having said that the co ordinates for Jodrell Bank on their own website put the Observatory in the North Sea!

Hadn't noticed that. They know where this planet is but not where Jodrell bank is
