Jeremiah and his Goat

We all have our favorite images, for our own reasons. This is one of my favorite portraits. I took it last summer. I only met Jeremiah this one time. His goat had just delivered babies; they were only a few days old. I could tell he was enamored with them. His face lit up like a child's when he held one. What I like about this image is that it hints at the child within Jeremiah, regardless of his physical age.
