I didnt think i could get this good of light quality at 12 noon. but am glad i was wrong and happy with the
results


they were shot with a 580 with a shoot through umbrella

That's what jumped out at me as well. She has the same expression in every photo...and it's not a particularly photogenic expression.

It's the "oh no, the camera nerd is taking my picture again" expression. Love that wall in #2 btw.

Looks like they are nicely lit but the straight ahead shot make the face look very round. Have her turn so you get a 2/3 view of the face and shadow plays into the shot.
There is a saying: "Do not Broad light a Broad", most of the time it will not compliment her.

i like these. wish in #2 you would have panned out more and got a half body shot instead of just a 1/3. Love the texture from the wall with her outfit. works well.

i agree but the reason i didnt is because i wanted to limit the amount of ground in the pic i was afraid it was going to distract from the pattern

Photographically OK, but the "deer in the headlight" expression brings down the images.
First one is a bit flat lit. Second is better.
