Thanks babe. We will be hitting all the common touristy sites. I'm sure that would bore the hell out of you.

Ill give you a shout when I have everything nailed down.
As a current "Marylander" and somebody who works in DC, may I suggest the following:
1. If you go to the Cherry Blossoms, get there EARLY, I mean like 4am or 5am early. Dress warm. Peak is supposed to be 3/26 to 4/4 this year I believe. It will be PACKED with tourists.
2. If you want to do the normal "touristy" things in DC and you have never been, may I suggest the Monuments at Night tour that leaves from Union Station. It's about $25 per person, but it's 3+ hours and SO WORTH IT. Great tour, and everything in DC is more beautiful at night.
3. Do NOT miss the Library of Congress and make sure you get a tour of the LIC. It's by far the most beautiful building in DC.
4. Skip the "duck boat" tours. You'll look like an idiot tourist.
5. If you get tired of all things DC, go to the Inner Harbor in Baltimore and visit the aquarium. It rocks. The "National Aquarium" in downtown DC sucks hard.
6. Visit Mount Vernon (Washington's home). It's amazing and fun to visit.
7. Eat at Pizzeria Paradiso just outside of Dupont Circle. Best pizza you will ever have, and not your ordinary pizza joint. This is gourmet pizza.
8. The best way to get around DC on a self-guided tour is to rent a bike.
9. The National Cathedral on Massachusetts Avenue is worth the drive from downtown. It's breathtaking.
10. Dress warm.
