Beyond the fact that you do have to push yourself through those "pity party moments" (like others are saying already), with regards to this very photo that you're showing us I must say that I've seen better wedding photography. Better up to "a lot better". Sorry about that.
But to my mind, this photo not only shows the flaws that you have pointed out yourself already.
To my mind, this is a very boring rendition of "showing off the shoes she specially bought for the wedding".
They are standing there, hanging arms, hanging flowers, hanging trousers on him (they probably never were any better or any different all during the day, but here - in the only photo I know of their wedding! - the fact that they are hanging so much just adds to all the other "hanging"). All the "action" there is is in the one arm of hers that lifts the shirt.
And you pointed and shot.
No more.
It is boring. No pose, nothing extra, nothing special. She could have sat down, or on something special, fence post, swings, branch, bench, his lap, whatever, whereever, and shown her shoes. And we could have enjoyed those shoes WITH her, with them, in that we'd see their happy faces, happy, because it is their wedding day, and happy because they are enjoying this very pair of shoes so much. But we get nothing of that.
