Juvenial Great Blue

[momo3boys]

There was a Juvenial Great Blue Heron trying to catch a fish behind my house. I took over 200 pictures hoping to get him actually catching one, but he failed in the hour and a half that I watched him. Here are a few of my favorites, SOOC. I was at three different locations, changing my settings to try and get just the right light. How did I do?

Not bad at all from my perspective. GBHs are fun to photograph-if you manage to get one in flight, they're like ancient pterodactyls or something...

They all seem pretty OF to me, otherwise they would have been much better.

I was using Autofocus on the head, what should I have done differently?

Nice
A GBH landed in front of me this summer, I snapped away for about 20 min while she was fishing, (or do they hunt).. anyways when I was done I only had a couple of clear shots. Good shots

These are nice shots of an heron. Exposure and focus are good.

Juvenial = juvenile

Thanks Willard. That's what I get for posting when I was sick!
