Another processing practice run...less drastic this time. Any thoughts at all?

I think you're losing too much highlight and detail with this. But, perhaps that's the intention?

Yes, it does a little. I was working on the smoothing and evening out of skin tones. Whilst I didn't want to lose all freckles, some of the face on the otiginal seemed blotchy. As an experiment in PP, i think it worked and gave me a better insight into the workings of the PP.

I like the high key look and the skin smoothing. I assume this is the look you were going for. I think you did it well. I found myself wondering if a little more contrast would help...not sure till I see it.

and I don't see the purpose in seeking advice on your PORTRAIT of a PERSON in another section...even if it deals with processing; as processing is a part of the entire package in dealing with PEOPLE PHOTOGRAPHY which is where you posted. So good job on not cluttering up the forum by multiple posts in multiple areas about the same topic. ;-)

You'll get plenty of help in this section concerning pp.

Thanks. I was looking at another photographer who frequents another forum, called Alvarado. I suppose it's not just him, but a smoothed skin, pin-up sort of look. So yes, what I was thinking when I started the PP. The image wasn't taken with that in mind, but does work with this sort of pp, I think. Maybe more contrast would work, yes...a little like the first in this thread.

Thanks. I can understand both, but was after PP critique on a portrait as this PP wouldn't be used elsewhere by me at least. But I will bear in mind the other section
