Thanks! WG, I was on an elevated viewing platform so the background is actually the marsh blurred into greenness because the Killdeer was relatively close...

Nice shots! I love Killdeer; where you see one, you're likely to see dozens. I just love those big eyes they have; makes them very photogenic.

Killdeer are great! Ever get close to a nest? They fake a broken wing to try to draw you away from it.
