These fly on their own. I think one is a juvenile but not a bird expert. These are with the 300 and one with the 300 plus a 1.4x TC.

Nice set. Especially through a TC. I find that for birds the TC loses so much in terms of focus and quality that I don’t bother with it.

Thank you. Yes, those two sat in that tree and we pretty much walked directly beneath them. Honestly, that TC has me considering getting one now.

Thanks. I was just lucky that a friends house is 2 blocks from these three. We drove over there and got dive bombed by them.

They are fun to watch, of course both times I have seen them I didn't have a camera available. They look so awesome when they hover, then down they strike.

yeah, it was wild watching them dive at the front of the truck. We we got out to walk closer to these (we got almost right underneath them) we were both worried that the others were going to dive at us.
