Lake Superior

Today I drove away from all the people and took some photos.

Here is one of my favorite spots. Really shows the power of glaciers once had in
sculpting this area.

Thats funny I live on lake superior and we dont have that glacier looking stuff out our way lol! all sandy beachs here. Im a noobie but I like it.

It's funny how you say this is such an illustration of the "power of glaciers", because there is nothing that sends the message of power out to me. From this image, I could have no idea where it was taken. The reflections are nice but it doesn't tell the story like you saw it.

I think it's a fine landscape and right now (August) I envy where you live.

You had your camera WB set to cloudy (I hope you haven't been reading that Understanding Exposure book). Anyway the daylight WB setting would have been better in this case. Assuming those are white clouds in a blue sky, I took of liberty of shifting the color balance for you to see:

P.S. While I was at it I couldn't resist darkening the foreground and raising the foreground contrast quite a bit.
