    Bad comparison.

On a notebook I want external ports because it gives me connectivity. I can work better.

During photography, getting rid of all these controls means you can focus on the most important - focus and the exposure "triangle".

One final note about this: the new (not yet out) Fuji X-Pro2 also has a suprisingly low number of controls.

OMG, I can see all the rich mommies out there scratching their heads trying to figure out how to use the thing at arms length.

Here is the camera on the Leica page. Leica M Edition 60

In my understanding it will most likely be a cheaper M, not an especially expensive one ?

Just like the recent M Type 262 (which should really have been a M-E).

And as I pointed out, I definitely see the appeal of having a very simple camera. Kind of like a digital Leica M3.

Another status symbol, aimed at that the "too much money, look what I've got" crowd.

Definitely a Leica made for those that already have one.

And $15,000 sunk into two lenses, something like a $10k Noctilux and then a nice 35mm.

I laughed at the new M60's subheads on the cult's page for the new toy for rich kids: Reductionism as a celebration

I do actually find the screen distracting, I turn it off, but it always manages to come back on.

I think derrel suggested I tape a film box end on it.

Duct tape works wonders at fixing those pesky "low oil pressure" warning lights.
